Christmas Lights
Christmas Light Installation in Toronto & the GTA
We install your Christmas lights — rooflines, trees, columns, railings, wreaths and garland. You buy the lights and they stay yours. If anything stops working during the season, contact us and we’ll go over repair options and any charges that apply.
The arrangement
How our Christmas light service works
- You own the lights. The standard arrangement is straightforward: the lights are purchased by you and remain your property. We provide the installation.
- The following season costs less. Because the lights are already yours, installation for the next year can be lower — you’re paying for the install, not the lights again.
- Help during the season. If part of the installed lighting stops working, or there’s a problem with the installation, contact us and we’ll go over repair options and any charges that apply.
- Takedown when you want it. Takedown is available on request as a separate paid service. It isn’t included in the installation price, and it happens when you ask for it rather than on a fixed schedule.
Why it matters
The part nobody looks forward to
Putting up Christmas lights is a pleasant idea in November and a different thing entirely on the day. It usually involves a ladder, cold hands, a roofline that looks lower from the ground than it does from the top of the ladder, and a string that turns out not to work once it’s already up.
Then it has to come down again in the new year, in worse weather.
We handle the part that involves the ladder. You get the display without the December afternoon spent on the roof edge.

Seasonal lighting
Christmas lighting we install
- C9 — the larger traditional bulb
- C7 — a smaller version of the same classic shape
- Mini lights — small bulbs on a closer spacing
Which suits your property depends on the look you want and where the lights are going. We’ll go over it when we quote.
Year-round lighting
Permanent Govee outdoor lighting
Separate from seasonal Christmas lighting, we also install Govee permanent outdoor lights.
These stay on the property year-round rather than going up in November and coming down in January. That makes them a different decision from seasonal lighting — a one-time installation instead of an annual one.
If you’re weighing seasonal lights against permanent lighting, mention it when you request a quote and we’ll go through both.
Controls
Timers and controllers
If you’d like a timer or controller for your lights, we can install one.
Here’s how it works: we purchase the device separately, and you’re charged only its actual cost. Installing it is included in the Christmas light installation price — there’s no additional labour charge for fitting it.
Just mention it when you request a quote.

Common questions
Christmas light questions, answered
How much does Christmas light installation cost?
Pricing depends on the size, access, materials and scope of work. Request a free quote for an accurate price.
Do I buy the lights, or do you provide them?
The standard arrangement is that you purchase the lights and they remain your property. We provide the installation.
Is installation cheaper the following year?
It can be. If you already own the lights from the previous season, you’re paying for the installation rather than the lights as well.
What happens if a section stops working in December?
Contact us. If the installed lighting stops working or there’s an issue with the installation during the season, we’ll go over repair options and any charges that apply.
Is takedown included?
No. Takedown is a separate paid service, available when you request it.
When do you take the lights down?
When you ask us to. We don’t work to a fixed takedown date — let us know when you’re ready.
What types of Christmas lights do you install?
C9, C7 and mini lights.
What is Govee permanent lighting?
Govee permanent outdoor lights are installed to stay on the property year-round, rather than going up and coming down each season. It’s a separate service from seasonal Christmas light installation.
Can you install a timer?
Yes. We purchase the timer or controller separately and charge you only its actual cost. Installing it is included in the installation price, with no additional labour charge.
Do you need access to my electricity?
Yes. The lights connect to the property’s electrical outlet, so access to power is required.
Do you install for businesses?
Yes. We work with both residential and commercial properties.
Do I need to be home?
You may not need to be home for every service, provided we have the necessary access to the work area. For some jobs, your presence may be required if access depends on you — connecting to your power supply, for example. We’ll confirm this with you before the appointment.
